- Does an Arizona vehicle title need to be notarized?
- Many Arizona title transfers ask the seller's signature to be notarized, and a lien release or a title signed by a business or on behalf of an estate almost always does. The requirement is printed on the title and the MVD form itself — confirm with MVD or your title service, since a notary cannot tell you which form or act you need.
- Do both the buyer and the seller need to be present?
- Only the person whose signature is being notarized has to be present with ID. If both parties are signing notarized sections, both need to be there. Everyone signing must sign in front of me — do not sign the title before the appointment.
- What do I bring to a vehicle title notarization in Tucson?
- The unsigned title or bill of sale, a current government-issued photo ID with a signature for each signer, and the exact legal names as they appear on the title. If a name has changed, bring the supporting document so the name on the ID and the title can be reconciled.
- Can you notarize a title if the owner is in a hospital or care facility?
