How travel fees are quoted
- How is the travel fee calculated?
- Travel fees are based on the round-trip distance from Tucson, the current price of gas, the time of day, and the type of appointment. Specialized locations such as hospitals, jails, or after-hours calls may add to the estimate.
- What do I need to give you for an exact travel estimate?
- The appointment address, the type of documents being notarized, your preferred date and time, and whether the signing is at a home, office, hospital, or detention facility. With that, I can quote a flat travel fee before the appointment.
- Are notarial act fees included in the travel fee?
- No. Arizona notarial act fees are $10 per stamp and are billed separately. The travel fee covers mileage, drive time, and availability — not the notarization itself.
- Do you charge extra for evenings, weekends, or holidays?
- Evening, overnight, weekend, and holiday appointments may fall at the higher end of the listed range or include an after-hours surcharge. I disclose the total before confirming any appointment.
